Dr Mabel Burger

Dra Burger is a medical doctor specialised in internal medicine since 1976, and in clinical toxicology since 1982.

She retired as Director of the Toxicology Department at School of Medicine in Uruguay in June 2007.

Ex-President of Uruguayan Society of Toxicology (1985-1987), member of the Spanish Association of Toxicology, participant in more than 60 meetings and congresses on toxicology (South America and Europe).

Author of books and papers published in national and international journals.

As a volunteer consultant to the UMC, she reviews the results of the regular computerised screenings of ADR reports within the System Organ Class of poison specific terms and musculo-skeletal disorders.
