Member countries have access to a range of services and practical resources to improve their technical capacity, communications and outreach.

Useful documentation and services

Member countries may contact UMC directly for support (vigibase@who-umc.orgwith enquiries or requests concerning technical, educational and other support services needed. There are also other services and practical resources to support development of technical capacity and local communications. These include the following publicly-available documents (pdf files):

Minimum requirements for setting up a functional national pharmacovigilance system, published by WHO and the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. To serve the needs of the Global Fund, this addresses the minimum requirements to ensure the existence and sustainability of a national pharmacovigilance system.

Aide Memoire, for countries developing a national pharmacovigilance strategy, published by WHO. Available in English, French, Spanish and Russian.  

Guidelines for setting up and running a pharmacovigilance centre, published by UMC. Available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.    

The form of the form is a UMC guide with good examples and best practice for designing a reporting form.
