The International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) and UMC collaborate in educational initiatives to strengthen pharmacovigilance in Asia and in Latin America.
UMC and ISoP have different and complementary constituencies, bringing together national pharmacovigilance expertise with the broader concerns of industry and academia. They have a common interest in promoting scientific research and good practice. Since 2014, the two organisations have run joint training events, aimed at improving patient safety in Asia and Latin America.
The seventh pharmacovigilance training course jointly organised by ISoP and UMC took place on 11-12 November 2019 in Guangzhou, China.
Previous UMC-ISoP courses have been held in the Philippines in 2014, India 2015, Peru 2016, Panama 2017, and in China and Ecuador in 2018.
